Tracing a friend's genealogy. Her Pero family lived in MA. Louis J Pero was born there about 1889, the youngest son of Michel A. (Michal, Michial, Michael) Pero & Almira Sceles. Louis had an older sister named Devella, whose marraige information names her mother as Almira Sceles. Census records indicate Michel & Almira came to MA in 1882. Almira died in MA in 1890. In 1892 Michel remarried. I believe Almira is in the 1871 and 1881 censuses (b. abt. 1862) with her parents, David Sceles and Margaret Greencorn?. Devella was born c. 1883, so I believe Michel and Almira married in 1882, as she's still at home, aged 18, in the 1881 census. Michel A was the son of Michel Pero/Perrault and Annie/Anastasia Power. I have them back to the 1861 census (Mich~l Pearo/Plaro, 2 males, 4 females) and he is indexed next to James Power (2m/2f). I have been unable to find a marriage for Michel & Almira in any of the online NS resources. He is listed as Catholic on censuses, she as CoE. Which may account for their marriage and almost immediate removal to MA. Hoping to find marriage date of Michel & Almira, and any additional information about their families. Thanks Tiffany Fugère (of the QC Fugères, not the NS family for Cheryl Pero
