I am researching David SNYDER, my great-grandfather from Halfway Cove. I believe that in the area of 09 November 1899 there was a south west gale. That he was ship wrecked and died as a result of that wreck. Is there a record of ships that may have gone down at that time or other lost of live from boats or ships sinking
Thanks

I too am looking for ship wreck information. Captain Thomas "Spud" MacDonald of Boyleston, Guysborough had seven ships some of which were lost in a gale. Does anyone know the names of his ships?
